Octagonal to round barrels with traces of original bluing. Smooth bores in 13.5 mm calibre. Brescian import locks, lock plates engraved with scrolling foliage and signed "Pomponi". Cocks with chiselled and engraved décor. Full stocks of finely carved ivory with fire-gilt brass noses.

Pommels carved in the form of Turk's heads, their hair merging into lion head mascarons. Buttstocks with surrounding bands of engraved and gilt brass. Stocks with occasional age cracks. One pistol with restored crack at the end of the forend.

The second pistol had been broken at the lock, but was well repaired and partially replaced with a small addition at the forend. Fire-gilt brass furnitures with pierced side plates. Original ivory ramrods with gilt brass tips. Length of either pistol 47.5 cm.

Pistols with ivory stocks are very rare on the market, as only few of them are left in private hands worldwide. Due to the Henk Visser Foundation, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam houses the most significant collection of these rare luxury pistols.
