Hello, Jozef I come across your site and was hoping you could tell me
something about my find and if you know what it is. It appears to be
some sort of metal inside and gold plating on the outside. It was found
along the Mississippi river in the sand about 6-8 inches deep in the
West Alton area of MO. It has a buildup of dirt, sand that is hard to
remove that appears to have been there for some time, like something you
would find that has been in the sea for long period of time. is does not
have threading inside and not sure what type of metal and does not
appear to have rust but a dark color to it almost a dark grey or blue.
Any help would be much appreciated. It weighs about that of a quarter or
more but the size of a half dollar.
