Trasisvlania duit Overijsel

Een koperen duit van Overijsel zonder het jaartal erin. Deze is geslagen rond 1610, aan de ene kant 't wapen met daarin de staande leeuw met klauwen, aan de achterkant de Latijnse letters "Transisvla.nia" dit stond voor Overijsel.



One of the Dutch states / old provinces, namely Overijsel had it's own hammered copper coin with this Dutch name (duit). And it's without any date or year inscription on it. The images on it is of a standing lion and on the reverse Latin text of these letters ---transisvla.nia----. meaning the Dutch state ---- Overijsel. Period: 1610. Diameter: 21 mm. About the same value as one UK penny of that same year.
