Gilbert & Ellice Islands 1912/24 £1 KGV absolutely *SUPERB* MVLH: The rarest used KGV high value from the entire Pacific from this tiny island. Incredible condition ex Germany - lightest hinge touch, fresh and vivid and bright and unfaded, free of gook and gunk, and “unrubbed”, with DEEP vibrant printer-yesterday colour. These stamps fade and “rub” badly if handled carelessly, and after a century, most have been! SG 24, cat £550=$A1,100. Totally without fault or blemish of any kind.
